FlexiCore Original or Fake? How to Check a Pack in Nigeria

Counterfeit supplements are a real problem in Nigeria, and the checks that catch them take about a minute at the door. Look at the seal, the batch code, the expiry and the printing quality, ask for a registration number, and pay only after the pack is in your hands and it all lines up.

What we can and cannot confirm about FlexiCore

Straight answer first: we searched the NAFDAC Greenbook on 30 August 2026 and found no entry for FlexiCore among its 8,975 records. We searched the full brand name and a partial one, and we ran a control search for “glucosamine” which returned five registered joint products — so the search itself was working when it returned nothing for FlexiCore.

Absence from the register is not proof that a product is unregistered. Registers lag behind the market and products are sometimes listed under a different name or applicant. What it does mean is that we cannot confirm a NAFDAC registration for you, and we will not print “NAFDAC approved” on a page when we could not verify it. Ask the seller for the registration number and check it yourself before you buy.

How to search the NAFDAC Greenbook yourself

  1. Open greenbook.nafdac.gov.ng in any browser.
  2. Type the product name, the active ingredient or the registration number into the search box.
  3. Read the record: applicant name, product category, form, strengths, approval date and status. “Inactive” means the registration is no longer current.

The register covers drugs, herbals and nutraceuticals, medical devices and more. A supplement sold legally in Nigeria should be findable there, and the record is the only version of the composition that carries an official stamp.

The one-minute check at the door

You are entitled to do all of this before you hand over money. That is precisely what payment on delivery is for, and a courier who objects to a thirty-second inspection is telling you something useful.

Frequently asked questions

Is FlexiCore NAFDAC approved?

We searched the NAFDAC Greenbook, Nigeria’s public register of approved products, on 30 August 2026 and found no entry for FlexiCore among its 8,975 records. That is not proof the product is unregistered — a register can lag and a product can be listed under a different name — but it means we cannot confirm a registration. Ask the seller for the number and check it yourself.

How do I check a NAFDAC number?

Go to greenbook.nafdac.gov.ng and search by product name, active ingredient or registration number. A genuine registration returns a record with the applicant, the form, the strengths and an approval date.

What does a fake usually look like?

Blurred or misaligned printing, a missing or unreadable batch code, a wrong or absent expiry, spelling errors on the box, and a price far below everyone else. Any one of these is enough to refuse the parcel.

The courier is asking for more money than agreed. What now?

Do not pay. The amount is agreed on the confirmation call, and a courier asking for extra at the door is not part of the process. Refuse the parcel and report it on the number that called you.
